The thin side of the cooking grate is perfect for delicate foods like seafood or fruits and veggies. On the wider side of the cooking grate, you’ll find a thicker grate that’s ideal for meats and creating thick sear marks for enhancing food flavor. Also, due to the flames having the same pressure at every port output and the cast iron grill grates, the Genesis II E-410 has one of the most even heats of any gas grill on the market.

Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill

It has 4 main burners that let out 48,000 BTU of heat, which might seem low, but hear us out. Some competitor gas grills do have higher BTUs than Weber grills. This means that competitors are ultimately using more fuel (higher heat output means more fuel burnt). Weber grills have not only been designed for quality and performance but efficiency as well. By law, gas grills are supposed to have vents to circulate heat properly, and the vents on Weber grills are much smaller and efficient than competing gas grills. This means not as much heat is escaping from a Weber than other grills, making it more efficient and ultimately meaning that a lower BTU is possible with the same or better grilling results than other gas grills we’ve reviewed.

SAFETY + DURABILITY | Zero Flare-Ups

It’s well known that Weber makes durable grills that last for decades. Durability isn’t much different with the Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill. The exterior is made of stainless steel and porcelain enamel which lasts a long time if exposed to the elements. Although the exterior is tough and durable, it’s always important to find a good grill cover that will ensure your Weber lasts as long as possible.

A couple of great safety features make the Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill stand out above other gas grills we’ve reviewed. A new Grease Management System reduces the risk of dangerous flare-ups and also makes grease removal extremely easy. In this Weber, Flavorizer bars are angled to catch drippings from your feast. After the drippings hit the Flavorizer bars, they’ll smoke and sizzle and add an irresistible smoky flavor to the food. If there are drippings that aren’t vaporized follow the slope and are funneled away from the burners into the grease management system.

The drippings that aren’t vaporized drip down away from the burners into a disposable drip tray which is located under the cook box. It’s as easy as removing the catch pan and replacing the drip tray as needed. This grease management system helps prevent flare-ups which can be dangerous and possibly burn the eyebrows off your face while grilling due to grease starting on fire. The Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill prevents this from happening, so you can keep those eyebrows.

PERFORMANCE | Thoughtful Design Elements

Ease-of-Use

There are a few features that make the Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill super easy to use without lacking in performance. It has an infinity ignition system that allows the grill to start with ease. When you turn the nob, the gas will ignite and start each burner easily. This is a push button electric (AA-battery) ignition system, so batteries are required.

The unique and tapered shape gives a consistent gas flow from front to back which helps with the best heat distribution. This ensures that the food cooks evenly and consistently anywhere on the cooking grate. Porcelain-coated cast iron cooking grates allow for a perfectly heated grate with a high-searing temperature, but also easy cleaning thanks to the porcelain coating. Cast iron is known for its ability to sear and cook at high temps, and hold its heat which makes it grate (pun intended) for grilling and holding onto heat. Turn up the heat during backyard parties with an outdoor firepit!

Along with the above features that make the Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill easy to use are the fact that it has stainless steel side prep workspaces, integrated hanging storage hooks for tools, a built-in lid thermometer (although we always recommend a separate grill thermometer for more accuracy), and a welded tube frame for a lightweight structure. The side table folds down in models equipped with two and three burners.

Best Features

Along with all the great features that make the Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill easy to use, there are some killer high-end features that make this grill stand out above the other propane grills we’ve reviewed. The GS4 Grilling system includes four high-performance stainless burners with porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars. The new grease management system reduces the risk of dangerous flare-ups and makes grease removal super easy with a grease removal tray.

With 48,000 BTU maximum output, which may seem low, the cast iron grates get very hot. Because Weber designed this grill to be very efficient, this allows for a lower BTU output where other propane grills have higher BTUs because they aren’t able to hold onto that heat the same as the Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill. This ultimately allows you to be more heat efficient and burn less fuel, which is more money in your pocket.

Longevity

There are a few design features that will ensure the Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill will last for a very long time. It’s constructed mainly of stainless steel, enameled steel, and cast aluminum, all of which are weather-proof materials that won’t rust. It also hast a low-weld exterior design which creates fewer seams and joints for rust to start forming.

The igniter system in the past has been a feature that wears out faster. It is still an AA-battery powered system with a push-button ignition. However, what’s different now is that each of the igniters now sit under a protective cuff that Weber is confident will allow them to last for ten years or more. The ignition system is even under warranty for 10 years, awarding the Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill with the longest and most complete warranty in the grilling industry.

Price

Given the level of design of the Weber Genesis II E-410 Propane Grill features, the price is very reasonable. It doesn’t contain some higher-end features, like built-in lights or high-performance cooking, but the innovative features that it DOES have are built very well. Weber has redesigned a few features that are made to be tougher and last longer, making this grill more worth the price. Also, this grill is made to be exceptional, but still affordable for a larger group of buyers. Thanks Weber!

It does come with a 10-year warranty which is almost unheard of for a gas grill in the grilling industry. Also, Weber is known for their exceptional customer service and products. One big downside is that the propane tank, grill cover, and rotisserie kit are sold separately, so that’s an added expense. Also, this grill DOES come in a natural gas option, but is not convertible between the two; you have to buy one or the other.

PROS

  • Solid construction and long 10-Year Warranty
  • Even heat distribution and efficient build
  • Grease management system
  • Push-button ignition and high-end features
  • Porcelain-enameled cast iron grates

CONS

  • Propane tank not included
  • Lower BTU output

Cast iron grill grates ensure a hot sear and even heat distribution, and 646 square inches of grill space provides room for feeding a lot of hungry people. There’s also a warming rack for keeping food warm or grilling buns.
